Mush Personal Development Course
It’s easy enough to feel good at the Mush, where we craft an environment that removes stressors and provides support and strategies to manage challenging emotions.
But in your daily life, it’s not so easy. You’re dealing with stress, sleep deprivation, and chronic health challenges. You’ll be shocked at how much you can change your life in just a few weeks. If you do nothing, things will continue on the same course. Do you want to live a purposeful, powerful life and achieve your highest potential? This course is for YOU.

About the inspiration for the Mush Personal Development Course:
The need for the course became clear while I was leading the Mush Facilitator Training (MFT), which I’ve now offered a dozen times with more than 100 participants. In the MFT I set out to share everything I’ve learned about navigating the often complex Mush environment, striving to create a safe space and guide a group of relative strangers to have the “Mush Experience,” a taste of heaven on earth, to be completely relaxed and in a state of “no-mind,” surrounded by warm, breathing bodies, dropped deep into non-verbal space and feeling their nervous system relax completely for possibly the first time in years.
Many times during these trainings, I invited the soon-to-be facilitators to lead by example: regulate your own nervous system first, prioritize your feeling of safety, be kind, never speak while you’re frustrated, shift into curiosity, make positive assumptions, identify conflicts promptly and seek resolution. Take responsibility where you can find it, apologize and forgive quickly. It all sounds pretty straight-forward, but it’s not easy to apply these philosophies, and the MFT doesn’t leave enough time or space to delve deeply into specific strategies or practice. Instead, we focus on more tangible and logistical facilitation skills: strategies for preparing and managing the space, leading the facilitation team, empowering the participants, dealing with challenging participants, creating structures and mechanisms for registration, feedback, and community management, and of course the Mush-specific facilitation process (how to demo all the exercises, and in depth training around Mushchitecture). It’s a lot, and so I only have time to touch briefly on all these other super important life-skills that facilitators would greatly benefit from.
So this course was born. It contains the guidance and strategies that will empower you to become an exemplary Mush Community Member, and lays the foundation for going on to become a Mush Facilitator. You may wish to think of this course as the first level of the Mush Facilitator Training, where the focus here is inward; we will guide you to facilitate specific outcomes in your own life.
So, whether or not you ever intend to share the magic of the mush with another person, This course is about you and your life. You will be empowered to facilitate for yourself a healthier mindset and physical body. You will gain strategies to create healthier relationships with yourself and with others. This course will empower you to become more powerful, self-actualized, self-expressed, and confident in your words and actions.
